Mobilisation and training of young people from the community surrounding the Kipeto Wind Power project in industry relevant artisan trades

Program Design & Structure

Arc Skills was engaged to conduct training in construction and hospitality trades for 250 youth drawn from the communities which the wind-power generation farm and transmission lines would cover. This project was especially challenging due to the remoteness of the project site, the targeted communities being spread over expansive terrain and the conservative culture of the communities involved.
Arc Skills improvised to erect a purpose-built heavy-duty tent to serve as a classroom due to the need to mitigate against strong windy conditions on the project site
